The transfer of the bank account is final and Lisa has checks with her address on them. We need to investigate a PO Box so the checks don’t have to be reprinted each year.
There are 17 current members in RCMQG.
The Huntsville Public Library will include us on the slide show in their lobby, which would be good advertising for our guild.
Our logo information has gone to Trina’s friend.
We will use Mary and Lisa’s presentation on “modern” quilting for a club program as well as programs for other quilt guilds, if asked. We will prepare both 20-30 minute and 10-minute versions.
The Threaded Needle will do a Machine Maintenance Workshop (any day except Tuesday) sometime after April.
Mary will look into doing a window display for our guild at the Huntsville Main Library.
We decided that the officers of the guild could spend guild money for guild projects/supplies up to $50 a month in up to $25 increments. However, any purchase greater than $75 would need the approval of the membership.
We decided that lanyard clips and rings at 50 for $12 were the preferred nametag holders.
We decided that our scrap challenge would exclude purchased fabric and members would bring scraps (within upper and lower size limits) to the April meeting.
We decided that a variety of non-purchased prizes would be available for challenges and charity blocks. Lisa can make pressing cloths and pincushions, and she will donate items left over from a previous business as prizes.
Amanda proposed a schedule for the rest of the year for meetings, sewing Saturdays, programs etc. The schedule will be posted when final.
We decided that a dues discount would apply to members who pay in November.
