During Sew and Tell, we received 17 charity blocks in both the Churn Dash and Pickup Sticks pattern. Jen showed the fabric she had dyed herself for the color challenge. Mary showed a charity quilt that she had finished binding. Sherry turned in her Orphan Block Challenge. Carol B shared her first quilt top with the guild. Kris participated in the Angela Walters Free Motion Challenge and shared the quilt she made. Kris also turned in a mini for the Crayon Challenge. Peggy brought an Ian Barry book to share. Glen brought a book to share called The Quilt Design Coloring Workbook.
The Fabric Dyeing workshop will be this weekend at Trina's house.
Members were reminded that the Crayon Challenge will be due in June.
We presented the Stripes quilt to Lisa and Glenn, who will be moving to another state. She named the quilt Sunshine in the Darkness.
We discussed the results of the surveys. Rocket City Sunset will be auctioned off as part of the online auction, and the quilt itself will be hung at Threaded Needle Too. The profit will be shared between the guild and St. Jude's.
