We have doubled our membership from when we renewd with the national guild last year. We are considering sponsoring workshops for people attending quilt con who will teach it to the guild after quilt con.
There will be a new website for the MQG by the end of the month and members will need to set up a new account.
Threaded Needle Too is closing. We have begun looking for a new meeting location. For next month we will be meeting at United Church of Huntsville. We will continue looking for a more central location.
The Charm Square Reveal was tonight. We had entries by: Rachel, Louise, Mary, Vicki, Sherry, Kris, Glenn, Laura, Amanda.
We had 23 charity blocks turned in.

Mary added to the kite quilt.
Sherry added to the star.
Glenn added to the binding star and quatrefoil.
Our Block of the Month started this month at the Sewing Saturday. The Make It Modern and Non-Quilt Item Challenges are due by the October meeting.
Show and Tell items will be posted on Instagram. Pat donated a lap quilt she wants to auction and proceeds to the library. Laura turned in the R for the Guild Banner.
There are more Guild Banner kits. These are due by the morning of the October Sewing Saturday. We will be hosting a bag swap, Rachel explained the rules. Kris donated a quilt top at the last meeting. It is bigger than the St. Jude's quilts, so we will be auctioning it off. Jen volunteered to quilt it. Money for Kris's quilt will be earmarked for charity. Jen would like to have access to batting and backing.
We will be planning a guild trip to Lakeside Quilters Quilt Show October 4th - 6th.
Trina gave a status update on our Charity work.
We will be having a fundraiser at Brews for Benefits at Straight to Ale. Jen suggested that we give out cards describing our auction. We passed around a sign up sheet for people to work at Brews for Benefits.
