Pat - Scrap Crazy 6 star quilt using horse fabric for a charity quilt
Sherry - a quilt she started at the retreat and a group of paper pieced hedgehogs and foxes.
Glen C - a quilt he started when having knee surgery made with boy's pajamas
Lisa - a quilt that took 7 years to machine embroiderer and quilt
Diane - a cathedral window quilt made from blue jeans
Glenn - 4 paper pieced blocks for the traveling fabric box. A baby quilt made for a friend
Sophie - a block for the traveling fabric box
Rachel - yellow black star for a wall hanging
Monthly meeting and Sewing Saturday discussion
Threaded Needle can do 8am - 1pm for Sewing Saturdays but not able to host meetings
Several members state that it was too early to attend and too short of a time period
Madison Municipal building has available the 3rd Tuesday from 630-830 No food or beverages are permitted.
The Madison Library might be a possibility
The Bailey Cove Library can have a Sewing Saturday on Oct 22
Sherry is going to look in to the Threaded Needle for Sept 24 or Oct 1
Deb offered her studio for the 1st Thursdays for meetings and one Saturday a month for Sewing Days.
The group decided to try out all the different locations over the next few months and decide what to do later.
Dues are due by the December meeting for returning members - $20. If paid after the December meeting, dues are $24
Sophie volunteered to demo the x block ruler at the next meeting.
The Modern Quilt Guild has a tour bus form Feb 23-26 in Savannah GA.

Amanda suggested that the guild needs someone to organize fundraising for the guild to be able to afford speakers, renting spaces for meetings/sewing days, etc

Demo - Jen demoed how to tie dye.
Charity block - 8 at a time half square triangles, starting with a 10" square, resulting in 8 4 1/2" unfinished blocks. The fabric used can be any that you would like to use. It was suggested that the fabric that was given away at the last meeting could be used for the charity blocks.
