The November and December meetings will be held on the Second Tuesday due to holidays. The November meeting will be at UCH in the Sanctuary, attendees need to park in front of the church. The December meeting will be at Trinity United Methodist Church on Airport Rd. Details to come. Starting in January, meetings will be on the third Tuesday at UCH for the foreseeable future.
We purchased a roll of 90" x 20 yards of Pellon 80/20 from Walmart for $74.11 after tax with free shipping. This is being held by Jen for the charity quilts she is working on. She will bring it to charity days as needed.
The National Guild is hosting a mini swap for those interested. See the link in the meeting agenda.
We had the Make It Modern reveal. Kris and Glenn turned in items.
We also had a the non-quilt challenge reveal. Sherry turned in a t-shirt, Fern made an argon mesh radiation vest. Sherry, Jen and Pat worked together on a set of totes.
Sew and Tell - see instagram for pictures. Kris made a lap quilt. Sherry has been working on english paper piecing and a bag. Lael showed us a quilt she has been working on. Fern showed us a quilt-as-you-go string quilt she's been working on with another group, as well as a charity quilt for project Linus.
We will continue working on the Block of the Month at the November 3rd Sewing Saturday with the Woven Star block. There are two upcoming sewing bees. South Huntsville on Oct 20th and Madison on the First Wednesdays.
The holiday party will be a potluck. Attendees should bring a gift handmade, or bought with a $10 limit. The gift should be wrapped in a fat quarter. We will be playing Dirty Santa. We will have a brief year end wrap up and an announcement of the auction results.

The Brews to Benefit event at Straight to Ale will be Monday October 22nd. WEw will be finalizing the display this weekend.
33 items have been turned in for the auction and been photographed so far. Items turned in tonight will be photographed and auction items will be displayed in the window at the Main Library downtown for the month of December.
We now have 38 members.
We discussed charity needs for St. Jude quilts and passed out pillow case kits. A reminder that the Quilt Con 2019 kits are due November 3rd.
We will offer to sponsor workshops taken by members that are willing to present what they learned back to the guild. We will host any workshop outside of a regular meeting and only charge non-members.
Elections are coming up. Nominations are currently open. We discussed the Guild Structure and the Committee responsibilities.
