Welcome to the Rocket City Modern Quilt Guild!
We are elated that you have decided to join our guild. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned quilter there is something for you. Our guild meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Huntsville Sew Creative which is located on 1847 University Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35801.
Our guild began in 2011 as a way for modern quilters with the same interests and goals to come together and collaborate. We like to try new techniques, share ideas, make friends, and give back to our community. This is the place for you to learn as well as share your talent and skills.
Our monthly meetings consist of a “Sew and Tell”, current guild business, and a program. We have regular Sewing Saturdays and Sewing Bees, a vibrant charity program, and regular challenges and sew-a-longs.
We are so glad you are here, and we welcome your participation. To help you get oriented, we have put together this list of links. Please take a moment to review them and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Sew Glad You Chose Us!
Sincerely,
Linda Hornsby

Social Media
Members Only Facebook Group--this is a place for people to chat, ask questions, share deals, news about local shops, works in progress, etc. The invite for this group will be sent to the email you provide in the new member form.
Public Facebook Page - this is where we share things that are of interest to people outside the guild too such as info on upcoming workshops, fundraising events, Zazzle shop additions, etc. It's generally a duplication of information already provided to members elsewhere and is mostly there to give us a public Facebook presence. However, if you follow it, it's a great place to share events from and having more followers and engagement allows our posts to be seen by more people.
Instagram - we share photos from our Sew and Tell at meetings, various events, workshops, Sewing Saturdays, etc. We also post monthly reminders for the Sewing Saturdays and meetings and this is where we hold our annual fundraising auction.
