The Diversity, Equality, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEA&I) Committee works to put into action the RCMQG's commitment inclusion, equity, and justice as outlined in our guild values in our bylaws.

In our bylaws, we specifically commit to:
- Creating a brave, accepting space by treating all with dignity and respect, pursuant to our commitment to inclusion;
- Holding ourselves and others accountable by addressing inequity and injustice, including microaggressions, in our community; and
- Creating purposeful opportunities for participation of under-represented groups through such avenues as
- membership recruitment
- speaking and teaching opportunities
- community engagement activities; and
- Creating and promoting opportunities for our membership to act on these shared values.
The DEAI committee works to put these into practice by:
- collecting and responding to reports of behavior that violates our community standards. Reports may be made here: RCMQG DEAI Reporting and Recommendations Form, emailed to rocketcitydeai@gmail.com, or discussed with a trusted member of the leadership team. These reports are kept private to the greatest degree possible, with survey responses and direct email communication to rocketcitydeai@gmail.com being viewable only by Danica Pruett.
- collecting and responding to member feedback
- proposing actions the guild can take and changes the guild can implement
- working with other guild leadership to implement those actions and changes
- creating opportunities for our membership to act on these values within the guild
- keeping the guild informed of opportunities in the larger quilting community to act on these values
