Amanda gave a program on panels. She discussed all the various ways you can make a quilt top by using a panel. The slideshow can be found here.
Tory Padden, a costume designer with over 40 years experience, presented an introduction to Fabric Postcards. The presentation reviews postcard design elements including, size, foundation/fillers, design elements, backing, and finishing touches.

Differences between bias binding and straight binding were demonstrated. Tips and tricks were noted such as not putting a binding seam in the quilt corner, sewing bias binding strips together in random lengths, chain sewing the binding and ironing the seams open.

Beverly shared her quilts inspired by Bethany Reynolds' stack 'n whack method of cutting fabric. The fabric is then sewn to create a 'kaleidoscope' effect.
