Beverly shared her quilts inspired by Bethany Reynolds' stack 'n whack method of cutting fabric. The fabric is then sewn to create a 'kaleidoscope' effect. Included in the presentation were numerous resources and tips on creating a successful and gorgeous stack 'n whack quilt. A copy of the presentation may be found here. Our July program on Transparency and Dimension included a fabulous listing of quilters and makers using transparency and dimension in interesting ways.

We watched the video Fresh Quilting Episode 210: Freeze Paper Piecing by Nicole Neblett. The discussion followed with members noting the ease with which freezer paper could be used for large scale piecing. A handout was also provided with instructions on how to use freezer paper for piecing.

Join us as we sew up a different FMQ design each month! You can use your practice swatches to sew up some small projects or join them together with a Quilt As You Go technique to create one quilt! May and September were catch up months--no new files!
