Getting Started

Membership Card
Once you complete the new member form, we will get you set up in the national guild's system. You will receive an email to set up your account there. Once that is set up, you can log into the national MQG's page to print your membership card. Your membership card is what you will need to show to quilt shops which offer a discount for guild members.

Nametag
Guild members are invited to sew a nametag to wear at in person guild events. The guidelines can be seen here.

Guild Files
Guild files includes meeting minutes, copies of the monthly newsletters, handouts from meeting programs, the current membership roster and more are accessible to RCMQG members here. You will need to use your national MQG log-in in order to access this page. Once you have logged in, select "Rocket City MMQG" from your list of communities and then click on the "Library" tab.

Social Media
Members Only Slack Workspace--this is a place for people to chat, ask questions, share deals, news about local shops, works in progress, etc. The invite for this group will be sent to the email you provide in the new member form.

Public Facebook Page - this is where we share things that are of interest to people outside the guild too such as info on upcoming workshops, fundraising events, Zazzle shop additions, etc. If you follow it, it's a great place to share events from and having more followers and engagement allows our posts to be seen by more people.

Instagram - we share photos from our Sew and Tell at meetings, various events, workshops, Sewing Saturdays, etc. We also post monthly reminders for the Sewing Saturdays and meetings.
