The QuiltCon COQ has been properly submitted to national, We have reached our 20 pillow case goal for January, and our goal for 2021 quilts is 25 total. We are adding an evening sew-cial once a month. These will be run by Kerry and Linda. Our first workshop will be on sashiko by Aaron Sanders Head. Members and non members may sign up on the website. The “quilty quotes” contest will lead us into the first fundraiser of the year through Green Pea Press. We are starting a Fat Quarter Club to build our stashes with a flare from another member. Sign-ups are active on the website. Mend/Make Do is our first Challenge of 2021. Make a mini, Mug rug, or Gift-able item for this challenge. Lisa led the group on our free motion sampler for January. Crystal led the group on an appliqué program.
This meeting was held via zoom. Amanda, Kelci, Adrienne, and Anita. Adrienne is set up with the bank account. Kelci will check into Smore about a cancellation date. Kelci will update the google calendar. Email groups and signatures have been updated. Amanda has created a Bitly account for the guild to help with links for our members. July and September sewcial Saturdays will be moved to avoid holidays. The December monthly meeting will be scheduled on the 14th instead of the 21st. Adrienne is still working on the financial report. We had thirty three members renewed for 2021. Sewcial sew-alongs will be on the fourth Thursdays from 5:30 to 7pm. Crystal is set up with all social accounts. The block of the quarter will change for January. Kerry is working getting our QuiltCon quilt submitted to the show by National. Kerry’s information for St. Jude was out of date. New Contact was made. The quilts are set to be delivered next week. Charlotte has been in communication with Green Pea Press to work up a “quilty Quotes” fundraiser. We have applied with facebook to be a non-profit. It will take about 2-3 weeks for approval, and then we can run fundraisers on there. There has been an issue with our Google contacts issue should be resolved. The Lastpass password has been updated for 2021. Committee signups will begin soon. Fabric club details are being sorted out. Amanda is going to coordinate the set up for the survey and sign ups. Anita has January’s program settled. Anita has also coordinated the free motion sampler. Kelci and Amanda are going to work on inspiration for the Mending Challenging. Anita is reaching out to Aaron Sander’s Head about a possible sashiko workshop. Our first drop off day will be at Sweet Home Quilting and Supplies. Amanda is adding a goals channel to slack for guild engagement.
