Fundraising was able to sell fifty four items in the annual holiday auction. This exceeded our profit expectations. Amazon Smile and Zazzle helped our fundraising efforts this year too. We met our charity goals this year. The guild completed 28 quilts St. Jude’s through Huntsville Hospital. We also completed 190 pillowcases for NAFC. 75 were also donated by local churches. These will go into NAFC’s stock for personalization. This year we were able to facilitate 107 personalizations for area foster kids. Many thank you’s were spread around to members. Sew & Tell featured a slideshow of our charity quilts. The 2021 calendar has been completed and was shared with the guild. Prizes were drawn for the 4th quarter charity prize, end of year challenge prize, and the end of year charity prize. Members who participated in the porch drop and swap gift exchanged opened their surprise gifts, and social time followed.
This meeting was held via zoom. Amanda, Diane, and Kelci were present. The roster is complete, and compressed but dues are coming up, so the roster will wait to go out until January. The milestone pins have been purchased for long term members. Later has not been cancelled yet, but is set to cancel before December 13. Diane has completed the profit loss statement. The treasure handoff documentation will be updated to name the outgoing treasurer responsible for the profit loss statement from the year they served. 37 members are paid through December. Social planning is still on hold currently. Social media chair hand off is going smoothly. Crystal and Kelci are in communication for any issues. The current charity block remains quarter circles. The QCCOQ quilt is complete. Kelci will reach out to Kerry about a slideshow of charity quilts for the meeting. The Auction is in process. Zazzle is nearing a payout. The Carol Lyes Shaw Workshop has received good feedback. Weebly shop issue has been resolved. About half of the auction items have bids. Invoices will go out through square. Amanda, Kate, and Kelci will get the information together the night the auction ends so Diane can invoice that night. Considering Non-profit status through Facebook anyone can host a fundraiser for the guild. Amanda, Diane and Kelci will meet with Kate to pick up auction items, and pickup guild member gifts. Officers will arrange door drops for their group before the meeting on Tuesday. Holiday party will include a reminder on early bird dues, unveil the calendar, and drawing for prizes.
