Amanda reviewed the current guild events, including: (i) November 19th - DEAI Committee meeting; (ii) December 10th - Sewing Saturday and Drop/Swap with the location to be determined; and (iii) December 13th - Holiday Party.
The 2023 budget was reviewed. Highlights include reevaluating additional sources of income, reducing expenses because of planned in-person meetings that will occur, and an increase to the annual Post Office box fee. After discussion, the budget was approved.
In 2023, the guild will restructure the officer positions. While the president, secretary and treasurer positions will remain the same, social media will move under the secretary duties and membership will move under the treasurer duties. Nominations will occur November 15th - 22nd with elections occurring December 3rd - 10th. The 2023 board will be announced at the December 13th general meeting.
Annual guild membership registration is available on the website with early bird pricing for current members through December 30th.
QuiltCon registration continues. Members wanting to take advantage of the free four-day show pass must register by the end of the month. As of December 1st, the registration will be $40.
The QuiltCon Community Outreach quilt is in progress. Members are invited to sign up to quilt portions of the quilt.
The next DEAI Committee will be held on November 19th, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM CST. The DEAI Committee is working toward a community event in March for International Quilt Day.
The Fundraising Committee noted that auction preparation is in full swing. Members are asked to coordinate with Amanda for late item drop offs.
Members were asked to mail their Secret Stitcher swap item early in order for the recipient to open the gift at the holiday party on December 13th.
The RCMQG Holiday Party will be held on December 13th via Zoom. Members may swap gifts that are $10 or under, or a small hand-made item wrapped in a fat quarter.
Sew & Tell, and the Auction Preview presentations were shown.
