Each officer reviewed their upcoming responsibilities for November:
- For President, Amanda noted that the 2023 guild registration has been added to the website.
- For Vice President, Danica reported that there are no new partnerships and that the sponsorship tracking sheet needs to be updated with donation information; and the MQG Leadership meeting is scheduled for November 14th at 7:00 PM.
- For Treasurer, Adrienne noted that the guild 2021 profit and loss statement is overdue to National; the officers reviewed the proposed report.
- For Secretary, Pam noted that the website is current; the November newsletter was distributed to members on November 2nd; Pam volunteered to prepare the 2022 Auction presentation for the November guild meeting.
Next, Amanda reviewed the Committee Chair reports: (i) for Membership, the final Secret Stitcher program swap item in December is a notion with the reveal at the holiday party; (ii) for Social Media, members are to submit photos of pets with quilts or sewing room/space; (iii) for Community Outreach, the QuiltCon Community Outreach quilt has been sent to guild members interested in quilting it; deadline to finish is December 1st; (iv) for Fundraising, Danica noted auction items are being photographed and the descriptions uploaded to the 32Auction website; Amanda noted that she is making a few last minute items for the auction; Giving Tuesday on November 29th was relayed to the board; and (v) for Programming, Amanda noted that the November program is the 2023 budget and elections, and December is the holiday party; possible 2023 programming includes Hobbs batting and MOD Quilting Magazine.
Amanda noted the DEA&I Committee outreach event planning is the next top priority and have tentatively set March 19, 2023 a the date to coincide with International Quilt Day.
Ongoing guild events were discussed, including: (i) Bingo - Adrienne sent out Q4 Bingo card surveys; (ii) the November Lone Robin design element is Borders, Backing and Binding; (iii) the MQG Webinar Study Group is complete for the year; and (iv) the Board Game Night is complete for the year.
The officers discussed the reorganization of the meeting agenda and noted that overall positive comments have been received. The holiday party was discussed, which will be held on December 13th via Zoom. Pam volunteered to prepare an end of the year recap presentation.
The officers discussed the election process for next year as well a the 2023 proposed budget.
