Monthly Question What is you favorite Sewing trick or gadget and why? The guild’s current charity block is quarter circles. The guild gift exchange and holiday party is next month. Officer meeting highlights included a review of the budget and the feedback survey. Renewal invoices will go out through square. Early bird pricing will last until the December meeting. The planning survey will go out this week. Discounted Quiltcon registration ends this week. The auction opens on black Friday. This year things will work a bit differently. Items will be listed starting on Monday and the comments will be turned off. All comments open on Friday and will remain open until the auction closes of December 5th. Square invoices will go out immediately. Members may pay by check if they wish. Items will be porch dropped or mailed. Members are asked to share information about the auction as much as possible. This is our only large scale fundraiser this year. Block of the quarter is Quarter circles. We officially reached our St. Jude’s goal with 25 quilts. The improve curve worshop went well. Slack members can participate in the 100 day project, Amanda will invite you to the thread if you want to participate. Holiday gift exchange will be a little different this year. Officers will bring a gift and drop it on member’s porches, they will pick up a gift there and take it to the next house. They will keep the last gift they pick up. We will open these at the holiday party. Items should be handmade or quilting related and $10 or less and wrapped in a fatquarter.
This meeting was held via zoom. Amanda, Diane, and Kelci were present. We are still vetting secrutiy updates. The website domain was renewed. Printer ink was bought for Kerry. She has a new efficient printer and will print with our ink next year. Sew-signment consignor deposits refunds have been sent. Diane is working on the profit loss statement. Crystal and Kelci have reviewed social media workings. The quilting is almost complete on the QCCOQ and then it moves to binding. The parking lot swap saw many projects move to a next step. The calendar fundraiser doesn’t look viable. Weebly seems to be working again. Keeping notes on Covid effects. Virtual Sewing Bees, Slideshows for Sew & Tell, and forwarding mail to the treasure all seem to be worth continuing. More outdoor workshops may be a good option next year. Holiday Party will be virtual. Door drops may work for the gift swap.
