On leadership updates, due to an issue with the storage door closure system, the Guild moved to a slightly larger unit within the same new facility. The cost is now very similar to the prior unit but it is more centrally located in Huntsville with an extra 80+cubic feet of space. Sewing Saturdays will return starting the second Saturday in May at S&R Sewing and Vacuum, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The guild is committed to offering this as a virtual component. The guild sewing will be in the back room of S&R. Members are welcome to wear masks, but we will not officially require the masks as we continue to follow CDC guidelines.
On the National MQG front, guild members can purchase a $10 pass to virtually view the entire QuiltCon show.
Trina noted that there are over 5 Community Outreach quilt tops ready to be quilted, 12 quilts needing labeling and 15 completed quilt tops. Members were reminded to go to the Community Outreach page on the website to record their contributions. Prizes will be awarded.
