The following informational updates were provided:
- Guild Communications: Newsletter, website and calendar are current
- Storage Unit: Ongoing payments have been set up
- Finances: Bank updates reviewed; audits to be performed; ledger items to be complete
- Membership: 30 members
- Community Outreach: 30 quilts to St. Judes in April; requests for more between, tie dye, multicultural and Alabama fabric pillowcases
- National: Quarterly Leader update on May 8th at 7:00 PM
- Possible Magazine Feature: There was no update at of March 31st on the feature article on the multigenerational appeal of quilting with Hyper Local lifestyle magazine
- Secret Stitcher Getting to Know You: Launch at April meeting; program runs April to September; consists of 20 questions with a maker project swap at the end
- Meeting Locations: Board members to update spreadsheet with possible meeting locations
- PayPal: Beverly is working to establish this payment system
- QuiltCon: Share contacts you made at QuiltCon with the Board
- Retreat Updates: Meal pricing has been corrected on Weebly; as of March 31st, 7 registered for in-person and 1 person for at-home
- Password Management Program: No update on selecting new vendor
- Mini Swap with Pensacola MQG: Seven members have registered; an email will be sent out to members reminding them of the April 5th deadline and providing a list of names registered
- The Shop Hop Bop will be held on April 22nd; at least three quilting/fabric stores will be visited; lunch will be provided
- A Serger Workshop is tentatively scheduled for July 22nd; a location will need to be found; maximum of 7 participants; cost includes the instruction, location, and material kit (thread, fabric, workbook)
- The Summer Supply Sale was discussed; it was decided to hold the event as an in-person sale rather than an online sale; Amanda will approach Innerspace Brewing as a possible location; registration is $10 per consignor; consignors to prep and tag their own items; drop off items the morning of the event; staggered shopping with consignors given priority; minimum price for items is $1.00; we are able to take credit cards via Square and cash; there will be a minimum purchase amount for credit cards; donation options to the guild in advance or at the end of the event if the item did not sell; donations will be bundled into gift baskets and put into the auction
- The first in-person meeting was discussed; remind attendees to get close to the microphone to talk; be mindful of the store closing time at 9:00 PM; will establish a social time prior to the meeting at 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM
- Concern was expressed about the level of volunteers as the sign up form is not being used; because the form is new, the board decided to give it more time; we will try to make the form more task specific; and modify the form to permit members to write in what they can do
- The Celebrate Quilting event now has a separate planning committee consisting of Danica, Amanda and Pam
- Danica lead the April program on Mosaic Quilting
- The Secret Stitcher program will be announced
- The Log Cabin Challenge prize will be drawn
- The Community Outreach participation prize will be drawn
