The following officers provided general updates:
- Guild Communications: Newsletter, website and calendar are current
- Storage Unit: Authorized user names submitted; payments made
- Finances: Bank updates reviewed; audits to be performed; ledger items to be complete
- Membership: 30 members
- Community Outreach: 30 quilts to St. Judes in early March; requests for more between, tie dye, multicultural and Alabama fabric pillowcases
- National: Quarterly Leader update on February 11th; join the Leader Meet-Up Social Circle
- Possible Magazine Feature: Hyper Local, a lifestyle magazine, interested in a feature article on the multigenerational appeal of quilting
- Secret Stitcher Getting to Know You: Launch at April meeting; program runs April to September; consists of 20 questions with a maker project swap at the end
- Meeting Locations: Board members to update spreadsheet with possible meeting locations
- PayPal: Beverly is working to establish this payment system
- QuiltCon: Share contacts you made at QuiltCon with the Board
- Last Pass password was changed
- In-Person Meeting responsibilities were discussed, including (i) set up/tear down; (ii) monitor Zoom for questions; (iii) photographing Sew & Tell quilts; (iv) lockbox with Square reader; (v) external camera and speaker; and (vi) color coded name tags
- Retreat sign ups for members begin at the March meeting; pricing is still being determined; meals are a separate charge; masking may be required depending on local levels; food orders need to be placed 30-days in advance; 2024 and 2025 dates have been scheduled and deposits have been made
- April Shop Hop Bop will be held on April 22nd; at least three quilting/fabric stores will be visited; lunch will be provided
- Budget adjustments were discussed; the amount of dues collected is lower this year because we have less membership; plus the Amazon Smile program is ending; funding earmarked for programming
- The website redesign is going slowly, but still hope to have it finished by end of June
- Volunteer sign up survey will be sent out; tasks will also be placed in the newsletter with a link to the survey form
- Amanda and Debby will lead the March program on Finishing Details
- The updated budget will be reviewed and approved by the membership
- The Potluck Party: An Auction Item Challenge will be announced
